Page 1 — Camp Setup!
The camping adventure begins with Stitch attempting to put up their little tent. She’s completely focused on connecting the tent poles and pulling everything into place.
There’s just one problem.
Loaf has decided to help by sitting directly on one corner of the tent fabric.
Stitch pulls.
Nothing happens.
Loaf remains blissfully unaware that he is the entire problem. 😂
Page 2 — Campsite Complete
Success! Their backyard campsite is finally ready.
Stitch proudly admires their cozy tent, sleeping bags and camping supplies while Loaf marches toward the entrance carrying his own ridiculously tiny rolled sleeping bag in his mouth.
Judging by his expression, he appears to believe he personally organized the entire operation.
Page 3 — Marshmallow Trouble
As evening arrives, it’s time for one of the best parts of camping—roasting marshmallows.
Stitch carefully holds hers over their small contained backyard fire pit.
Unfortunately, her marshmallow has gone slightly beyond toasted.
It’s enormous.
It’s droopy.
And it looks dangerously close to falling off the stick.
Meanwhile, Loaf has discovered an unattended marshmallow sitting safely on a nearby plate.
One paw begins creeping toward it.
Very slowly.
Very suspiciously.
Page 4 — Flashlight Explorers
Now it’s properly dark, which means every tiny sound in the backyard has suddenly become extremely interesting.
Armed with a flashlight, Stitch investigates a mysterious rustling near the bushes while Loaf cautiously follows.
Something is definitely hiding in there…
A monster?
A mysterious nighttime creature?
Something enormous and terrifying?
No.
Just one tiny harmless little visitor.
Loaf would probably still prefer to return to the tent. 😂
Page 5 — Goodnight, Campers
After all that excitement, it’s finally bedtime.
Stitch snuggles into her sleeping bag inside the open-front tent, her glasses safely placed beside her as she uses a little flashlight to look at a simple star chart.
Beside her, Loaf is already tucked into his ridiculously tiny sleeping bag.
Only his round head and little paws peek out.
He’s completely asleep.
Outside, the lantern glows softly beneath the crescent moon while the last few fireflies drift through their backyard campsite.
A Complete Little Camping Story
Backyard Camping Night is designed as a tiny beginning-to-end adventure rather than a collection of unrelated camping pictures.
Children start by helping Stitch and Loaf set up camp, see their finished campsite, join them for marshmallows, explore the backyard after dark and finally settle down for bedtime beneath the stars.
That little progression makes the finished pages especially fun to keep together.
Once all five are colored, children have created their own miniature illustrated Loaf & Stitch camping story.
Camping Without Leaving the Backyard
One of the sweetest things about backyard camping is how an ordinary familiar space can suddenly become an adventure.
A blanket becomes camping equipment.
The backyard becomes wilderness.
The bushes become mysterious.
And every tiny nighttime noise becomes something that absolutely requires flashlight investigation.
